About the Friends
In 1993, we became a registered charitable organization dedicated to assisting in conserving & fostering an appreciation for Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. We:
- Encourage interpretive, scientific, historical & preservation activities
- Help park staff cultivate respect for the park’s natural environment
- Operate the Westwinds Gift Shop for park-related publications & quality gifts crafted from natural materials
- Produce interpretive books, maps, & visual aids about the park’s natural & human history
- Host special events
